Bede’s World is a 50-acre conservation scheme in Jarrow, Northumbria, dedicated to the life and times of the Venerable Bede, 1300 years ago.

The latest addition to the scheme is a £4 million purpose-built museum opened in 2000 by the Queen.

The museum is home to an extensive permanent exhibition titled ‘The Age of Bede’.
